The parade of gorgeous gowns at the Oscars is always a sight to behold, and the red carpet is often the best part of the show. This year was no different, except we were particularly delighted to see the imaginative stylings of several new mothers-to-be. From Emily Blunt's ethereal train to Chrissy Teigen's sophisticated neckline, the silhouettes offered a distinctly modern perspective on maternity wear. Bravo, ladies.

Emily Blunt's of-the-moment powder pink Prada worked well with her fair complexion. Ornamental silver beading lended the look a more whimsical feel. The fitted bodice flowed gently into a softly draping train, a perfect silhouette for an earlier pregnancy.
